bad good days

Does anybody else find that the 'good' days are almost worse than the days when you're incapacitated with the pain? I just find it so frustrating that I'll be so close to being functional, and yet every "normal" thing I try, I still fail at.

grr

yes. at the beginning of last week, I was feeling great. I had two days where I had almost no pain but still took meds to try and vanish the pain I still did have. silly me, thinking it would hang around, I'd fly and not get a migraine from the planes and whatnot. oops

Yes, because it's so deeply disappointing when you return to your "normal." I've tried to explain that to people who are not in chronic pain and they don't get it. If I have to hurt all the time, I'd rather it be roughly the same every day so I'd know what to expect.

exactly! I'd be able to adjust and kinda get used to the pain level. Once I get used to the pain I can pretend to live again. But this constant changing stuff is for the birds.
